I'm really pleased with how this design came out, It looks spectacular in the flesh. The blue sunburst dial is amazing when the sun catches it. Sporty while being very elegant at the same time with it's dagger hands, which are one of my favourite hands on a watch. German watch quantity is always superb, so I don't really need to add much about the build quality except it's exactly what one expects. The watch comes on a very cool mess bracelet, but I've put mine on the T2 ladder bracket, which is the bracelet I originally designed for the case shape and I wanted to see how it looked. Find out more about my watch design work with Wolfgang here >     Caterham partnered with VERTEX watches to produce a limited edition timepiece, the MP45 C50, to celebrate Caterham's 50th anniversary as a car manufacturer. This special mono-pusher, which will be displayed on the Caterham stand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed , showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that both British brands are renowned for. Don gave me free reign to come up with a new sporty design on this project. After I spent a fascinating day up at Caterham in Crawley lusting over the fabulous Caterham's for inspiration, this is what I created for them. I really love this watch design. I like to think I've managed to capture the essence of Caterham with a sporty yet very elegant looking watch, while still retaining our VERTEX traditional heritage. This month I'm very excited to be working with two new microbrands, Trésor an American watch company and KRONAR a Belgium watch company. I can't reveal anything further at the moment suffice to say watch this space, they're a lot of new exciting watches that hopefully will launch between now and end of 2024. Watch this space! |
