About Heinrich Watches
Watches Made in Germany
Wolfgang Heinrich was born in the 70s and grew up in the 80s.
“Being a Gen Xer I look back more often to the ‘good old days’. Not only movies, cars & music from the 70s and 80s, I am also passionate about watches and their design from this era. That’s how the idea was born to design & create unique and high-quality timepieces with vintage vibes. Being a recreational scuba diver and fascinated by the diver watches from the past the first series needed to be diver watches.
Living in Stuttgart (southwest Germany) and close to the historical watchmaking city of Pforzheim I work closely with traditional watchmakers with decades of experience in the local watch industry.
The HEINRICH logo also picks up on the vintage style of the watches and also integrates the local origin of the brand by interpreting the Baden-Württemberg coat of arms with lions and crown in an independent way.”

2021-date
Wolfgang and myself have been working together since 2021.
We like to think there are no other watches like a "Heinrich watch", and that's what one is buying when investing in a Heinrich watch, individuality, as well as a beautiful, well built and practical watch that will last a lifetime. Our mantra is "We don't do normal, that's for other brands, we like to create watches with a big personality and we push the watchmakers to the limits at what is technically possible. All our watches are build with precision to last using the finest materials whilst also being very practical with dive rated water resistant, even on our Gentlemen's watches." |

New for 2023/24, the Heinrich Helicoprion, AKA "Buzzsaw".
Launched on October 6th 2023 and available for pre-order now, delivery March 2024.
The new practical gentleman's watch, as robust as a dive watch with 20ATM dive rating, so one knows it's tough and robust, but with that touch of elegance.
If one thinks about it, a beautifully designed watch is not only an amazing little wearable mechanical machine, it is also a wearable piece of art where the designer (the artist) has put part of his sole into creating the design.
My whole concept with this watch was to design a beautiful elegant timepiece, almost a wearable piece of art , that not only had to look great, but I also wanted it to be a very practical and rugged watch capable of withstanding everyday riggers life throws at it, hence it is to dive watch specification. I've always loved the small details Grand Seiko use on their watches, and this was one of my missions when designing this watch, and I think Wolfgang and myself can be proud of our achievement with this watch, it is stunning in the flesh.
The Helicoprion aka "Buzzsaw" idea was something Wolfgang wanted to incorporate into a watch design with an original unique interpretation of the so-called spiral saw shark Helicoprion and the Buzzsaw dial watches from the seventies by Universal Genève or Jaeger-LeCoultre, for example.
Wolfgang and myself like to produce pieces of art, not just another watch, hench our passion to create unique looking watches, but also practical and robust for life. And this one has come out very well indeed.

Heinrich Taucher 2 - From concept to birth - 2021
Wolfgang had this idea to do a really different looking dive watch that had a very 70's retro vibe to it and egg shaped case. The idea intrigued me and I have had this idea in my mind for over 20 years, which I knew would fit the bill perfectly. I created the Taucher 2 concept in 2021 and it came to life in early 2022.
The concept was quite complicated from the watchmaker's point of view, for example the bezel was a mixture of ceramic and steel pushing the skills of the watchmaker to what is technically possible, but they managed to achieve the impossible. In some ways the watch is a technical masterpiece especially at its price point. It might not be a design to everyone's taste, but both Wolfgang and myself love it and are very proud of our achievement.
The Taucher 2 has sold well, with many colours sold out on first batch. The first sold production run watches are due for delivery mid November 2022.
Taucher 2 is designed to fit most wrists with a diameter of 41 mm. The case comes in a round, brushed 316L stainless steel case that brings back the charm of the 70s but retains its own unique personality. The round case also comes with polished edges, giving the case an even more distinctive and refined look. The large knurled screw crown emphasises the "tool watch" character and makes the watch easier to operate. The lugs are drilled to easily change from bracelet to a standard third party strap or different bracelet.
Taucher 2 dial is coated with enamel on which a brushed silver ring and brushed indexes are applied. The dials are available in a wider range of colours and with or without a date window.

Final Concept Design: The design was changed a little, originally I'd put dagger hands on the watch.
