The Dark Knight, Christian Bale rules as Batman

I downloaded The Dark Knight from iTunes, plugged my iPod Touch into my 42 inch HDTV and watched it last night. I just love the way I can buy or rent a movie in iTunes, watch in on my Mac, sync it to my Touch and iPhone and watch it on my TV, it's well cool!! The quality of iTunes movies is obviously not HD or Blue-Ray quality, but as good as any DVD will be on an HDTV , even when played from your iPhone/touch. I used to buy DVD's and rip them to iTunes for playing on my iphone and touch, but you just can't get the same quality that iTunes gives you in a download that will fit on the iPhone/Touch. When you rip them yourself they end up at 640 pixels wide, only good for viewing on the device, where as the iTunes movies are full sized and are good enough to viewed on a HDTV.

WOW what a good movie. Christian Bale has really made Batman his own. He's by far the best Batman to date - he is Batman. I enjoyed his first outing as Batman, and The Dark Knight is every bit as good, if not better. The acting was superb. He has bought a more realistic feel to what a superhero is or could be. I've never believed in heros being goodie too-shoes; heros need to have a slight ruthless edge to them, almost just one step away from being the baddy. Christian Bale has that dark quality to him and I've always thought he was an underrated actor.

Heath Ledger was excellent; his portrayal of the Joker was utterly believable as a psychotic lunatic hell bent on causing chaos. I'd go as far as saying, this was Heath Ledger's fines performance and counter balanced Christian Bale's Batman very well.

The CGI in The Dark Knight was amazing. Harvey Dent's (Aaron Echart) face was absolutely amazing. The detail was so realistic and just shows how far film making has come in the last few years.

If you've not seen it yet you've mist one of the best movie I've seen this year - if you've never tried downloading a movie form iTunes and playing from your Touch or iPhone you should, it will change the way you buy movie forever. I just love clever technology that's simple to use and work - Apple have got it spot on.
